Write your description

Reading time : 1m30

You’re about to write your description and suddenly… A blank space. Worst. A blank page. Here are some tips that should help you loosen up your pen.

First of all, you should know that on uTip, your description will have two different purposes. Not only it allows your community to ensure your identity, but also allows TipRs who don’t know you yet to discover your work. On uTip we offer, via the “discover” tab for example, the chance to explore a whole world of creation, and why not your universe?

Talk about yourself

Your profile is intended to introduce you, the person behind the uTip page. Who are you? What do you do? What are you passionate about? Talking about you allows us to know you better and therefore, to feel closer to you.

Talk about your creation

Once you’ve introduced yourself, it’s time to put your creation in the spotlight. What do you do? What makes your creation different from others? Whether you’re a video artist, photographer, writer… Your creation has that little something extra that makes it unique for you and your community.

Show it all in your description.

Think about time

Chances are that you will have forgotten about your uTip description only a few hours after writing it -though so conscientiously since you are currently reading this article-. We therefore advise you to write a timeless description that will not need to be updated regularly.

Don’t dwell on your goals

It is not really necessary to describe in large detail what you are looking to achieve with your uTip page. Instead, you can focus on your “goal” for this. However, if you feel that your goal deserves some clarification, feel free to do so.

Don’t write a novel

Avoid writing an extremely long description in general . Be concise in order to capture the attention of your audience in a few lines. In any case, we have limited the number of characters in your description to 30,000 characters.
